License Agreement

This License Agreement is a legal agreement between you (the "Licensee") and Overlayz Studio LLP / Vijay Verma (the "Licensor"). By purchasing, downloading, or using any Kigen product, you agree to be bound by the terms of this agreement.

1. The Products

Kigen consists of two distinct products, which are sold separately. This agreement applies to whichever product(s) you have purchased:

• The Kigen Design System: The Figma file containing the UI library, components, variables, and templates.
• The Kigen Figma Plugin: The companion software tool used within Figma to generate, manage, and edit design tokens and styles.

Note: Purchasing the Kigen Design System does not grant access to the Kigen Plugin, and vice versa. Each requires its own respective license.

2. License Tiers

Depending on your purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license under one of the following tiers:

• Personal License: Grants 1 individual user the right to use the Kigen product(s) for an unlimited number of personal, commercial, and client projects.
• Team License: Grants up to 5 users within a single organization or team the right to use the Kigen product(s) for an unlimited number of commercial and client projects.

3. Permitted Usage (What You Can Do)

Under both the Personal and Team licenses, you are allowed to:

• Use Kigen to create end products for yourself, your company, or your clients (e.g., websites, mobile apps, SaaS dashboards, pitch decks).
• Modify, edit, and customize the Kigen components, variables, and styles to fit your specific brand or project needs.
• Charge your clients for the design and development work you produce using Kigen.

4. Prohibited Usage (What You Cannot Do)

To protect our intellectual property, you are strictly prohibited from:

• Redistributing or Reselling: You may not sell, rent, lease, or distribute the Kigen Design System source files, or Kigen Plugin access, to any third party.
• Creating Competing Products: You may not use Kigen (the UI kit or the plugin) to create and sell a competing design system, UI kit, theme, template, or Figma Community file.
• Public Sharing: You may not publish the Kigen Design System to the public Figma Community, GitHub, or any public repository.
• Client Handoff Restrictions: While you can design for clients, you cannot transfer your Kigen license to them. If your client wants the native Kigen UI kit source files to build their own future components, they must purchase their own license.
• Reverse Engineering: You may not decompile, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the Kigen Figma Plugin.

5. Updates and Lifetime Access

Your purchase includes lifetime access to the specific product you bought. You will receive all future updates, bug fixes, and feature additions for that product at no additional cost.

6. Termination

If you breach any of the terms in this agreement, Overlayz Studio LLP reserves the right to terminate your license immediately without a refund. Upon termination, you must destroy all copies of the Kigen files and cease using the plugin.
